Altitude exists to remove a specific hazard from your maintenance program: people working at height on the outside of buildings.
Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), a person conducting a business or undertaking must eliminate risks so far as is reasonably practicable, and only minimise them where elimination is not reasonably practicable. Rope access, scaffold and elevated work platforms all minimise a fall hazard that remains present. Delivering the same works from ground level removes it.
That distinction is the reason most of our commercial and government clients engage us. It is defensible in a safety audit, in a board or committee paper, and in a tender evaluation.
WHS hierarchy of controls
Rope access and EWP methods sit in the lower three tiers. Drone-delivered cleaning operates at the top.
Residual risks are not ignored. Aircraft operation introduces its own hazards — overflight, ground exclusion, chemical handling and equipment failure. Each is assessed and controlled per site, and documented in the SWMS issued before we mobilise.
Current certificates are issued directly to clients and tender panels on request.
Drone cleaning is aviation work. Every job is planned and flown as a controlled operation under Civil Aviation Safety Authority rules.
Controlled airspace, helicopter landing sites, restricted areas and proximity to aerodromes are checked before every mobilisation. Where an authorisation or notification is required, we obtain it before works commence — relevant across much of the Gold Coast and inner Brisbane.
A remote pilot on the controls and a dedicated observer maintaining watch on the aircraft and the ground beneath it. We do not operate single-crewed on commercial sites.
Wind, visibility and precipitation limits are set before the flight and adhered to. If conditions fall outside them, the works are rescheduled — we do not fly a job we cannot complete to standard.
Exterior cleaning near stormwater infrastructure, waterways and landscaped areas carries environmental obligations — particularly for council and government assets.
Soft-wash solutions selected for low environmental persistence, with Safety Data Sheets supplied for every product used on your site.
Targeted application uses substantially less water than high-pressure washing of the same area — relevant where water restrictions or trade waste conditions apply.
Garden beds and sensitive plantings pre-wetted and rinsed. Where a site drains directly to stormwater, containment measures are agreed in the scope before works begin.
No diesel boom lift or scaffold transport on site for the duration of the works, which reduces both emissions and the traffic management burden.
We are set up to engage through formal channels, not just direct booking.
Tell us what your process requires and we will send it through — insurance certificates, SWMS templates, methodology or a completed prequalification form.
